Pastor, wife seriously injured in road accident

Jiribam, July 14 2014: In a fatal road accident occurred at Ekaro Mile (Old Keiphundai) in Tousem sub division of Tamenglong district at around 12.30 pm today, a pastor and his wife received serious injuries.

According to reports, the accident occurred while a Tata Truck bearing registration number MN -01 0347 coming from Imphal collided with an Auto Rickshaw bearing registration no.AS -01 8497 coming from Jiribam to New Keiphundai.

The injured pastor identified as Adim S/o (L) Riujinang of New Keiphundaialong along with his wife have been referred to Silchar Medical Hospital, as their conditions became critical.

The injured were initially brought to Jiribam Community Health Centre for treatment.

The Tata Truck involved in the incident has been reportedly detained by the personnel of 7th IRB stationed at the accident site.
