More goods distributed, solidarity amongst different communities continue

As part of its continued effort to provide help to various people of the State during this period of curfew/lockdown, the Apunba Manipur Kanba Ima Lup (AMKIL) distributed essential items and hand sanitizers to the women folks of Rongmei Luh Phuam Khoupam Area (RLPKA) today.
The items that were handed over to RLPKA women included ngari, potato, edible oil and sanitizers.
Convenor of RLPKA Kalansinlie Pamei expressed profound gratitude and thanked AMKIL for the goods.
Chairman of Khoupum Area Village Authority Council Athon Reimei and secy Kahimdai Kamei were also part of the distribution programme.
UCM receives fresh vegetables from Mao Keithel vendors
The Mao Women Business Union (MWBU) showed solidarity to United Committee Manipur (UCM) for help extended to them during difficult time of COVID-19 outbreak.
MWBU brought varieties of fresh vegetables from Mao which was handed over to UCM president Sunil Karam by MWBU president Kapeini Mao.
UCM thanked the union for the heart warming gesture and in return presented them with essential items of rice and edible oil.
Shree Shyam Mast Mandal helps needy
The Shree Shyam Mast Mandal continued extending its helping hand to the needy in the face of the Nationwide lockdown at Khoyathong Polem Leikai today.
Altogether five of the hardest hit families, with no known source of income, were given basic necessities such as dal, rice, salt, milk powder, mustard oil and flour today.
On May 10, the Shree Shyam Mast Mandal had extended a helping hand to needy families at Thangmeiband.
Then too, five of the hardest hit families were picked out and extended the relief materials.
On the other hand, distribution of PDS rice and other essential items continue to pour in.
Wangjing Tentha AC receive abundant rice supply
Residents of Wangjing Tentha AC of Thoubal district has hailed MLA Paonam Brojen for showering the people of the AC with generous quantity of rice.
People of Wangjing Tentha have been provided with 10 kgs of rice per individual (adult) and 5 kgs per children above the age of 5.One of the resident with 11 family members and 4 children stated that they received 130 kgs of rice altogether.
The residents have expressed joy and gratitude to the MLA for this charitable act during this time of hardship and food shortage.
Kakching Khunou relief committee distributes medical supplies
In continuation of their activities since April 23, COVID-19 Relief Committee, Kakching Khunou distributed life saving drugs to six needy individuals.
Meanwhile, many extended monetary assistances to the committee to support their voluntary work.
The donors include- Kh Jugeshor (Rs 2000), Holy Cross Church, Lamyengching (Rs 3500) and councillors of Kakching Khunou Municipal Council namely Ksh Indubala (Rs 3100) and Kh Gojendro (Rs 5000).Moreover, chairman Kh Leima contributed 200 face masks to the relief committee in addition with the financial aid given earlier.
While appreciating the voluntary works of the relief committee, she hoped that the committee will continue their activities.
Menjor Mangang provides food items to Muslim community
Social worker and BJP karyakarta Menjor Mangang presented the Muslim community of Khangabok AC with sweets and other food items which were handed over to all Masjid in the area, in relation to the Holy month of Ramzan.
