Imphal, February 12 2016 :
BJP Manipur Pradesh will definitely have a new president but incumbent president Th Chaoba will continue to hold his post until a new arrangement is made, stated BJP general secretary Ram Madhav.
Ram Madhav arrived here on a two-day visit to the State today.
Briefing media persons at Tulihal Airport soon after his arrival, Ram Madhav stated that Th Chaoba will continue to hold the post of BJP Manipur Pradesh president until a new arrangement is made as intimated by the party's national president.
He said that he came to Manipur to congratulate and welcome all those people who won ADC election, by-election and local body elections on BJP tickets and those who joined the party recently.

Later, Ram Madhav who is also BJP's coordinator of Northeastern States addressed a huge public rally at Kumbi Bazar where people who won the recent local body election on BJP tickets were felicitated.
He said that the State's Congress Government has been marred by rampant corruption.
O Ibobi who has been continuing as the Chief Minister of Manipur since the past 14 years might have amassed huge wealth but the people of the State are languishing in poverty.
The Central Government had invested huge amounts of money for development of the State in different sectors but large percentage of the funds sanctioned by the Centre were misappropriated.
Not a single industry which can provide jobs to youth has been established.
Rather than showing interest in the development of Manipur, Ibobi is only concerned with his personal aggrandisement, Ram Madhav alleged.
The stunning defeat suffered by ruling Congress party in the local body election was a clear indication of Congress party's declining popularity in the State.
BJP has now 85 elected members in the State though it had no elected member till some months back.
In addition, BJP has assumed power in many Municipal Councils, he noted while congratulating the BJP Manipur Pradesh president, the two party MLAs and all BJP workers.
The public rally was also addressed by Th Chaoba, MLAs Kh Joykishan, Th Bishwajit and former Minister and CPI stalwart N Mangi who joined BJP recently.
