Dr Kamal Hall now adorns RIMS

Noted film-maker Aribam Syam Sharma has stated that the people must treat hospitals like a place of worship as it is a playground of life and death.
He made the statement at the inauguration ceremony of Dr Kamal Hall and a new faculty block at the Psychiatry Ward of the Regional Institute of Medical Sciences, here, today.
Speaking as the chief guest at the function, Syam Sharma continued that the inauguration of the new faculty block and Dr Kamal Hall by taking the name of celebrated writer Dr Lamabam Kamal will inspire the patients and students of the institute to go through Manipuri literature.
On mental health, the film-maker said that people will be more productive when their mind is relaxed.

Saying that every parent must teach their children about human value, Syam Sharma maintained that doctors must also treat every patient with kindness.
"It is not our profession but our conduct and how we treat others that define who we are," he added.
Professor and Head of Department of Psychiatry, RIMS Dr RK Lenin said that all individuals must take care of their mental health 'as it impacts our thoughts, behaviours and emotions' .
RIMS Director Dr A Santa Singh, on the other hand, said that the power supply at the institute will become better once the installation of the 33KV power sub station at RIMS is completed.
RIMS Medical Superintendent Dr N Sanjib Singh and veteran singer Chongtham Kamala Devi were also present.
