E-content learning program launched in Senapati

The first ever digital/remote learning also known as E-content learning, under the initiative of the district administration of Senapati in collaboration with the District Project Office, Senapati, was launched at the conference hall of the Deputy Commissioner, Senapati today.
Krishna Kumar, IAS, SDO, Tadubi and Nodal officer for E-content learning, stressed the importance of e-learning which he said has today become indispensable.

To make the initiative effective, 30 teachers from three major tribes of Mao, Maram and Poumai have been selected to translate the syllabus upto Class XII in the local dialects and for preparation of E-content, said the Nodal officer.
To make the program successful and error free, a Literature Committee with members drawn from different dialects and members of student bodies has also been formed.
Speaking as the chief guest, Th Kirankumar, IAS, DC, Senapati stated that education is not only the duty of the ZEO, officers, headmasters, teachers but also entails active participation of the locality.
The DC mentioned that such step was introduced in the district to give a boost to education and everyone should motivate it to get its utility.
On a pilot basis in the first phase, 10 schools including 2 schools under ADC, Senapati were given 42 cm Smart LED TV sets each.
The schools are Senapati High School, Residential School, Bemdramai, Maram Khullen High School, Pudunamei High School, Paomata High School, Oinam Hill High School, Phuba High School, Mao-Maram Hr Sec School, Tunggam UJB School and Lower Phaibung UJB School.
The program is set to target atleast 100 schools by the end of the current year.
SL Rangsong, ZEO, Senapati expressed gratitude to the DC, Senapati for his concern to develop the education sector.
AC to DC, ADM, SDOs of Tadubi, Paomata, Willong and Purul, representatives from Senapati District Students' Association, Mao Students' Union, Poumai Students' Union and Maram Students' Union, teacher representatives from Mao Literature Committee, Maram Literature Committee, Poumai Literature Committee and staff from Education Department attended the program.
