To mark the completion of one month of Sapam Robinhood's death in police action, a motor-cycle rally was organised today in Imphal area.
The rally began from Lairikyengbam Leikai.
The mass rally was organized by the JAC constituted against the killing of Sapam Robinhood.
More than 200 motorcyclists took part in the rally.
They demanded immediate implementation of Inner Line Permit system in the State and fitting punishment to the police personnel involved in the killing of Robinhood.
They also offered floral tributes to photograph of Robinhood at Minuthong.
Speaking to media persons by the sideline of the rally, chairman of the JAC Hem-chand stated that there is no change in the demands of the JAC and the step of the JCILPS to hold talks with the State Government is a welcome sign.
What people want is a concrete solution with the implementation of Inner Line Permit system in the State.
With the completion of one month of Robinhood's death today, people staged protest demonstrations across the State.
Coordinating Body of ILPS, Khurai organized a two minute silence at Lamlong Keithel as a mark of solidarity to Robinhood.
Shopkeepers, locals and passers-by paid their homage to Robinhood.
Students of Ananda Singh Higher Secondary School and womenfolk staged a peace rally and joined the observation at 2.55 pm, the time Sapam Robinhood died last month.
During the observation the whole area witnessed complete silence and traffic stood still.
All participants formed a human chain and raised number of slogans demanding implementation of ILP system in the State.
Meanwhile, a large number of womenfolk visited the site where Sapam Robinhood was killed a month back and paid floral tributes to the departed soul.
Robinhood was killed in police action against student protesters demanding ILPS in Manipur on July 8 .
