Imphal, March 07 2012: Although results for the election to the 10th Manipur Legislative Assembly have already been declared, a new Government is likely to be formed after Yaoshang (Holi) festival.

Election Commission of India has not yet issued notification for forming of a new House although Indian National Congress (INC) has won a thumping majority by winning 42 seats in the 60-Member House.

Certificates for the winning candidates have been despatched to Election Commission of India by the Chief Electoral Officer, said an informed source.

As there are holidays for Yaoshang festival till March 11 starting tomorrow, ECI would issue notification for forming of a new House on March 12, added the source.

It further said that ECI Secretary Anuj Jaipuriya will come to Imphal to issue the said notification on March 12 .

Chief Minister O Ibobi has not yet submitted dissolution paper of SPF Government to the Governor .
