Moirang, January 07 2022: Tension reigned at BJP Bishnupur District Committee office as several rounds were fired from inside the vehicle of BJYM president M Barish Sharma, today.

Reportedly, the incident happened when a large number of people gathered at BJP office at Bishnupur as an opinion poll to identify all BJP intending candidates of the six ACs from the district was taken.

As per a report culled from the spot, a certain misunderstanding arose on the issue of an electoral list who are to cast their votes for an opinion poll.

The shots came at a time when trying to transfer the ballot box of three ACs to a certain location as a large number of people gathered outside the office started agitating.

Speaking to the media, BJP Bishnupur president RK Bimola Devi said that the poll was held to identify all BJP intending candidates of the district to strengthen the party.

The opinion poll was taken following the advice of BJP Manipur Pradesh with M Barish Sharma and the party vice president P Premananda Sharma as returning officers.
