Imphal, September 05 2020:
A Joint Action Committee (JAC) has been constituted at Churachandpur against the killing of Ranjan and the JAC has urged the Government to book all the culprits at the earliest.
A public meeting was held today at Churachandpur district headquarters in connection with the looting of Rs 1.15 crore from an SBI Cash Replenishment Agency (CRA) in front of an SBI ATM booth yesterday in the course of which Ranjan Arambam was shot who later succumbed to the injuries.
Ranjan Arambam was working as a security guard at SBI CRA Writer Safeguard Private Limited.

Apart from strongly condemning the fatal robbery, the public meeting decided to constitute a JAC to fight for justice.
Urging the Government to take up all necessary measures to book and punish the culprits at the earliest, the meeting decided not to claim the body of Ranjan until all the culprits are arrested.
The meeting further resolved to launch different modes of intense agitation in case the Government fails to book the culprits without undue delay.
Ranjan Arambam hailed from Langdum Mayai Leikai, Imphal East but he was staying at Khuga Tampak Zouveng as demanded by his work.
Even though post mortem examination of Ranjan's body was completed at RIMS today, the body has been taken to the mortuary of Churachandpur district hospital as the bereaved family refused to claim it.
Meanwhile, employees working at different cash replenishment agencies or cash management services held a meeting today and urged the Government to book all the people involved in killing Ranjan.
The employees further resolved to cease all their works from September 10 in case the culprits are not arrested by September 9 .
The meeting condoled the death of Ranjan by observing silence for two minutes apart from conveying solidarity to the bereaved family.
On the other hand, local people staged a protest demonstration at Langdum Panthoibi ground today denouncing the killing of Ranjan.
The protesters, while urging the Government to book all the culprits at the earliest, pledged that they would support and take part in any protest agitation launched by the JAC.
