Vashum appeals to not disturb movement of buses

Imphal, December 04 2024: Transport Minister Khasim Vashum has appealed to every community in Manipur to not disrupt the initiative being taken up by the Government to resume the bus services of Manipur State Transport (MST) along Imphal-Kangpokpi-Senapati and Imphal-Bihnupur-Churachandpur (vice versa) .

Speaking to the media at his office at Old Secretariat today, the Minister prayed for normalcy to return to Manipur with the arrival of Christmas.

Saying that the crisis in Manipur has taken a heavy toll on everyone, Khasim Vashum said that the Government decided to resume the MST bus services as taking private passenger services is costly.

He appealed to all concerned to not disrupt the movement of MST buses so that people can start taking the buses without any doubt or fear.

Further appealing to all valley and hill based organisations not to call any bandh or blockade during the Christmas season, he said a collective effort is needed to build confidence among the people and restore normalcy in Manipur.
