Now Babina Hospital set to give more meaning to Healthcare

Chief Minister N Biren Singh, inaugurated BABINA Hospital--a 200-bedded multispecialty hospital at Sajiwa Jail Road, Khabeisoi, Imphal East today.
Chief Minister N Biren Singh inaugurated the hospital by unveiling the inaugural stone and cutting the ribbon in the presence of Dr Th Dhabali Singh, Chairman and Managing Director of BABINA Group.
Speaking as chief guest of the event, Chief Minister N Biren said Manipur is one of the pioneer States in North-East India in providing best medical facilities to the people.
He lauded private healthcare institutes for their contributions in improving the State's healthcare sector, and said the BABINA Diagnostics (BD), the group's flagship unit, has been at the forefront of medical diagnostics in the North East for over four decades.

On the ongoing crisis that has hindered developmental works, N Biren said the Centre and the State Government is working towards bringing peace to Manipur.
The State, he said, is slowly returning to normalcy. The present struggle is for the future generation.
Even amid the crisis, the Government is implementing developmental works, he said.
Taking chances of the unrest in the State, private and Government institutions, Public Sector Undertakings and businesses are being threatened and disturbed, he said, urging all concerned to stop intimidating and disturbing the institutions.
The Centre can clearly see this and has urged the State to take steps on this, he added.
The Chief Minister also mentioned several initiatives the Government has taken up for the Internally Displaced People (IDP) .
Under the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana, around 6,061 IDPs have been provided with skilled training and processes are on to provide jobs to around 2,500 of them.
Under the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, around Rs 700 crore is being provided by banks to the MSMEs of the State, he said.
To improve tourism, he said, a project worth Rs 126 crore to be taken up in and around Loktak Lake is in the pipeline.
Rs 600 crore Lamphelpat Rejuvenation Project and around Rs 36 crore beautification of water bodies in Waithou are being implemented, he added.
He announced that a cable car facility will be introduced in Ibudhou Marjing Hill for the first time in the State.
Concrete road construction in the Greater Imphal area has begun with the funding of around Rs 3500 crore, he said.
He further spoke about Government initiatives in the healthcare sector and said lakhs of needy and poor people have availed the benefits of schemes like the CMHT.
He appreciated and encouraged Babina Group for providing humane service to the people and creating job opportunities.
He said the Babina Group is employing 1,200 people.
Dr Th Dhabali reflected on the journey of BABINA Group over the past 40 years, and said BABINA has diligently built a brand now synonymous with quality and innovation.
