Manual inked for chartered flight between Imphal and Mandalay First flight to land here on June 27

Imphal, June 04 2014: With Golden Myanmar Airlines and KB Enterprises inking a deal to start a chartered flight between Imphal and Mandalay on June 3, the first flight is set to take off and land here on June 27 .

Speaking to The Sangai Express a reliable source said that after the first Golden Myanmar Airlines aircraft landed at Tulihal airport on November 20 last year, the agreement to start a chartered flight between Mandalay and Imphal was inked to pave the way for regular flights.

The aircraft to be used for the chartered flight is a ATR-72 and can seat 69 passengers, said the source and added that the deal was signed between the Deputy Commercial Officer of Golden Myanmar Airlines and the proprietor of KB Enterprises on June 3 at Mandalay.

After the first chartered flight lands here on June 27, the second such flight will land here on July 2, said the source further.

KB Enterprises will also take on the work of booking tickets for passengers from Manipur intending to fly to Mandalay on the said chartered flight.

The chartered flight is in line with the steps taken up by the Centre to establish air connectivity with South East Asian countries.
