Imphal, March 02 2016:
The United Kuki Liberation Front (UKLF) has dubbed the allegation against it by deputy Kilonser of NSCN/GPRN, Khulmi Region caretaker in connection with the Aimol Satu village incident as childish and immature.
In a statement, PRO of UKLF unit-II, S Mangi Aimol said that the NSCN Khulmi Region's denial about the involvement of the outfit in the incident at Molnom and Satu Aimol is nothing but to simply mislead the Govt and the public.
The Dy Kilonser cannot easily wash off his hands in the incident.
As a Christian, he should admit and apologise, said UKLF.
The UKLF must be the only Kuki outfit which maintains good relations with the GPRN for such a long time with the motive of peaceful coexistence as fellow tribals and fellow Christians tolerating ugly past incidents, it said.
It said that the UKLF has enough evidence that the shooting incident at Molnom a few days back at Molnom village in Chandel district was the handiworks of the Dy Kilonser, who is known for bringing bad names to the outfit he works for in the past.
It further said that the Dy Kilonser's assertion that Aimols are Nagas is totally false and misleading.
It asserted that Aimols are one of minority Kuki sub-tribes, struggling to protect their identity and culture.
It was due to this consideration that the UKLF had initiated various developmental programmes in their areas with love and affection.
Reacting to the allegation levelled by ATUM, the UKLF asked them to think what provoked the mob to turn violent on that very day.
Why an innocent Molnom villager, Thongkhogin was killed, it asked.
The UKLF however said that the Satu incident should not be allowed to act as a catalyst for Kuki-Naga enmity while urging all concerned not to interpret the incident on communal lines.
