Imphal, January 02 2015 : The proscribed RPF/PLA while claiming about launching a series of offensive against Indian military forces as a part of its Operation Jackal, alleged that the Indian military authority concealed the casualties it suffered in order to save their name.

According to a statement issued by the outfit's publicity secretary Roben Khuman, PLA cadres attacked troops of 16 Assam Rifles in between Mahadev and Litan on Imphal-Ukhrul road at around 11.30 am of December 23 by triggering a bomb blast.

A similar bomb attack was carried out around 10.45 am of December 24 at a spot between Nongren and Nongpok Kakching targeting troops of 49 BSF, D-Coy.

PLA cadres somewhere in the jungle

Two personnel of 24 Assam Rifles were killed in a bomb attack carried out by PLA cadres near Kwatha village, Chandel district at around 4 pm of December 31 while some other AR personnel sustained injuries.

PLA has been fighting against the Indian military forces and it would continue its armed campaign until Manipur is liberated from the alien rule, it asserted.

Reiterating RPF's decision not to target Manipur Police, Manipur Rifles and IRB which are largely comprised of Manipuri natives, the outfit claimed that Manipuri natives working in these security establishments would always support the PLA and its cause.

The statement also mentioned about the PLA's attacks on 21 AR on January 26, 2014 at Sajik Tampak, against 44 AR near Ningchou village, Ukhrul district on February 8, against 24 AR at Kambang Khullen, Chandel district, against troops of 1/11 GR in between Zou Khunom and Taikotang village, Churachandpur district on April 4, against 25 Madras Regiment near Taikotang village, Churachandpur district on May 14, against 44 AR near Kangpat Khullen village, Ukhrul district on May 25 and against 26 AR at Behiang, Churachandpur district on December 21 .

For all these successful offensives, the PLA's war office has congratulated all the cadres who carried out the attacks as well as civilians who provided logistic supports, it conveyed.
