Imphal, October 31 2024:
Denying the charges levelled against them by AT, the Kangleipak Communist Party (Politburo Standing Committee) claimed that some members of AT (Unit 18) were indeed involved in assaulting two Pouman individuals as claimed by different Naga frontal organisations.
In a statement signed by its secretary of information and public relations M Punshiba Meitei, the outfit said the Unit 18 of AT should have the spine to own up what they did so that the credibility of the whole AT is not compromised.
It also said that the people of Manipur will not necessarily take whatever is said or claimed by AT as gospel truth.
The outfit further said that "KCP under the chairmanship of Ibungo Ngangom has a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with GPRN regarding the special operating procedure of any matter/issue involving one or more members of the Naga community whereby our group is duty bound to liaise with the appointed officials of the concerned region of GPRN prior to taking action of any nature and vice versa, of course" .
Extending 'unqualified' solidarity with the Naga community in its endeavour in seeking justice for the two individuals, the outfit urged all groups to avoid using their name 'like a convenient shop to cleanse your dirty things' .
The outfit concluded by saying that the KCP (Politburo Standing Committee) will never indulge in anything that can compromise the affinity between the indigenous communities of Kangleipak.
