Sites identified for mass testing in IW

Imphal, May 31 2021: Aggressive mass testing for COVID-19 in Imphal West District will commence from tomorrow and will continue till June 15 in a bid to tackle and contain the spread of COVID-19 infections in the district.

Th Kirankumar, Deputy Commissioner of Imphal West District in a statement said that a daily schedule will be made to ensure wide publicity and to give awareness to the public regarding the testing facilities in their nearby areas.

Several locality wise testing sites have been identified in the district for tomorrow and are enlisted as follows - Kumari High School at Hiyangthang, Mutum Phibou UPS, Manipur University, Langthabal Khou-pum Community Hall, Ibudhou Pakhangba Community Hall, Konthoujam Makha Leikai, Thangtek Yangoi Ningthou Community Hall, Moidangpok Awang Community Hall, Awang Leikai Community Hall at Patsoi Part II, Patsoi Part III Community Hall, Hindi Secondary School at Kanglatongbi, Heirangoithong Community Hall, Khomdram Selungba Community Hall at Thangmeiband, TG Higher Secondary School and Bir Tikendrajit Airport.

Apart from the above testing sites, selected vaccination sites will be decided for testing in consultation with CMO, Imphal West and mobile testing for curfew violators will also be decided in consultation with SP of Imphal West.
