Thoubal, July 30 2020: In a tragic incident, a 35-year-old man from Thoubal Moijing Wangmataba who was taken to District Hospital Thoubal after he received an electric shock died as there was no staff to treat him.

The deceased has been identified as Moulana Ayub Khan S/o Md Najiruddin.

Family members said that he got an electric shock while trying to pump water from a nearby river at around 10 am.

People who witnessed the scene cut the power line and rushed him to District Hospital Thoubal, however, they were informed that there was no doctor to treat him.

He succumbed while on the way to JNIMS.

The deceased Ayub Khan left behind three children (1 son and two daughters) .
