Imphal, March 30 2019: Eternal Life Church International (ELCI) in collaboration with Department of Psychiatry, RIMS organised a two day seminar on "Abstinence possible: A holistic approach to intervene alcohol and drug dependence" on March 28-29.The seminar was organised to allow the Church & community leaders, professionals, functionaries of rehab centres, social workers and students to reflect on their significant role in their community; to support their members in the substance abuse recovery process, said a statement of SK Luangamba, managing director ELCI yesterday.

On the opening day of the seminar, ELCI also celebrated its IX foundation day with Dr Kaikhoken Kipgen, founder director of Emmanuel School, Haipi as chief guest.

Several experts and resource persons including SK Luangamba, Professor M Akshayakumar, Rev Dr S Lalpi Vaiphei, Dr S Gojendra Singh, Dr W Rebecca Devi, Ninghor Mahongnao, Dr L Roshan Singh and Dr RK Lenin Singh spoke on different topics related to drug abuse and recovery processes, said the statement.
