The All Manipur Physical Efficiency Test Successful Candidates of 10th and 11th IRB are set to stage various forms of agitation if the Government fails to hold the written examination by October 15 .
This was stated by Longjam Brojen the general secretary of the successful candidates during a press conference held at Manipur Press Club today afternoon.
He said that the deadline was set after a joint meeting of the candidates and parents of the candidates.
Brojen said that Chief Minister N Biren had in July assured to complete the appointment process in two months time but till today there is no sign that the written examination would be held.
He further said that the written test has been postponed three times and the uncertainty means they cannot apply for other jobs.
If the Government fails to hold the written test by October 15, then the candidates will launch a series of agitation, he continued.
Brojen also urged the State Government to follow the directive of the Prime Minister and do away with the interview for the IRB candidates (group C and D employees) .
