Patsoi MLA Ak Mirabai and Block president L Kumar led in welcoming Jairam by presenting simple gifts.
During the ceremony, Jairam praised Mirabai as a strong and brave lady and noted that her roles for the party are being reflected by the love of the people.
Directing his tirade against BJP governments both at the centre and in the state, Jairam contended that the BJP-led NDA government is not only destroying the economy of the country but also randomly hiking prices of essential items without consideration of its implication on the poor people.
As the government is only doing lip service, the number of people suffering increases every day, he maintained, while urging the people to change such government and bring back the Congress government in the state.
