Bishnupur, July 25 2022: Bishnupur Forest Division in collaboration with various colleges and educational institutions of the district carried out a mass plantation drive of fruit bearing trees at Ishok Chingphu hill on Monday.

Speaking on the occasion, Bishnupur Forest Division range officer S Ratankumar informed that the drive was held as part of Van Mahotsav with support from district's educational institutes and locals of Ishok village.

He appealed to the local Lai committee to extend support in ensuring the survival of the saplings planted in the drive.

The programme was participated by the faculty members and teachers of Thambal Marik College, Oinam; Moirang Collage; CI College, Oinam; L Sanoi College, Nambol; S Kula Women's College, Nambol; Royal Academy of Law, Oinam; Mangolnganbi College, Ningthoukhong; and Kumbi College along with Ishok Village Lai Committee members and villagers.
