Hand over drug haul cases to CBI: Dr Lamtinthang

CCpur, January 24 2023: Manipur Pradesh Con gress Committee vice president Dr Lamtinthang has demanded handing over of all the drug haul cases in the state to the Central Bureau Investigation (CBI) .

Dr Lamtinthang made this demand while addressing party workers at the annual get together of Churachandpur District Congress Committee held at K Vangphai guest house on Tuesday.

According to Dr Lamtinthang, Congress party supports the government's 'War on Drugs' mission and other steps taken up to save future generation of Manipur.

However, insincerity of the government in its own mission was exposed when a police commando team returning from Moreh with illicit drugs was arrested by a team of combined police on January 16,2023 .

He said that CBI investigation is very much needed to arrest the kingpin of the drugs being brought into the state and whoever involved including near ariS dear ones of ministers/leaders should not be spared.
