Imphal, January 24 2021: Manipur Development Society's Administrative Officer, S Ranjit Singh has been suspended after the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) named him as an accused in a case.

An order to this effect was issued by Project Director MDS Ranjan Yumnam on January 22 .

Whereas a disciplinary proceeding against S Ranjit Singh is contemplated, the Administrative Officer is placed under suspension with immediate effect.

During the period of suspension, his headquarters will be Imphal and he shall not leave the headquarters without obtaining prior permission from the Project Director MDS, said the order.
