Imphal, November 22 2019:
With the cease work strike by FEGOCTA continuing to paralyse the academic activities in all the Government Colleges, the association has once again announced that it might take the decision to boycott the coming college examination from November 28, if the Government continues to neglect its demands.
A press release issued by the general secretary of FEGOCTA stated it has been more than 56 days since the first written assurance was given to the association (on September 26) by the State Government.
However, the Government has failed to provide a positive response to FEGOCTA even after the expiry of the November 4 deadline to ensure the implementation of 7th UGC Pay for the college teachers.
Stating that it will continue the cease work strike until the 7th UGC Pay is enacted, FEGOCTA cautioned that it might also take the drastic step of boycotting the college examinations from November 28 if the Government fails to heed its demands.
