Thoubal, January 22 2021: A one day environmental awareness programme was held today at Langathel Heigru Makhong jointly organised by Okho Trust Langmeidong, Legal Aids Clinic Hiyanglam and Manipur Voluntary Health Association under the aegis of Forest Department, Kakching district.

L Suranjoy Singh, chief functionary of Manipur Voluntary Health Association and Naorem Munal Meitei, Forest Range Officer Kakching spoke as the resource persons.

Speaking during the occasion Suranjoy said that the public should support the Forest Department and NGOs which are trying ardently to protect the natural environment of Manipur.

Munal Meitei stressed on the importance of safeguarding the trees and wildlife in order to preserve the deteriorating natural environment and called for active participation and collective efforts from all in the bid to protect the environment of the State for the future generation.
