Imphal, November 21 2015 :
As part of its 9th Foundation Day celebration, Resource Forum Manipur (REFORM) organised a seminar on ' human civilization' today at Manipur Press Club.
Director, Information and Public Relations, Somoijit Salam attended the function as the chief guest while president of REFORM Naoroibam Indramani was the functional president and HOO/ DDO of SCERT Prof Aheibam Romel was the guest of honour.
The dignitaries also released a biannual journal published by REFORM as part of the function.
Somorjit Salam said Manipur no doubt has a rich cultural heritage.
But to link in the missing dots which are there in our history must be joined together by the handy works of researchers of REFORM.
If histories are well corrected, the gap between different communities of the State could be bridged, he asserted.
Researchers need to make historical data readily available for posterity and correct any mistake.
He urged the researchers of REFORM to take an active role in bringing out the true facts and figures of Manipur's 2000 years old history.
Prof Romel said that inclusion of State's history in the school curriculum will play a major role in bridging the gap between different communities.
He also suggested that reformation in the State's education policy should be initiated by the authorities concerned.
