AR observes Anti Terrorism Day

Imphal, May 21 2012: The 30 AR and 28 AR of 9 Sector under HQ IGAR (S) organised drawing competitions and lectures for youth at Nilakuti, Sawombung, Khurukhul, Chingmairong, Temple of Learning School at Andro and Mission High School at Machingpat in commemoration of the Anti Terrorism Day.

The function was organised with an aim to wean away the youth from terrorism and violence cult by highlighting the sufferrings of common people and showing how it is prejudicial to the State & National interest, according to a press release of PRO IGAR (S) .

In another occasion 23 Assam Rifles of 10 Sector under HQ IGAR (S) observed Anti Terrorism Day today at Battalion Headquarters, and its various Posts, rallies were conducted by School Children holding banners, placards and shouting slogans against Terrorism and counseling was conducted for village GBs, Secretaries and Village Authorities, the release added.
