Imphal, December 20, 2013: Social Welfare Minister AK Mirabai has said that the Social Welfare Department is planning to launch its website in order to provide all information regarding various schemes and projects of the department to the public.

She was replying to a Calling Attention Motion raised by MLA Laisom Ibomcha during the second and last sitting of 6th Session of 10th Manipur Legislative Assembly yesterday.

Mirabai further said that the supply of aid materials under ICDS to Anganwadi Centres has been suspended for sometime due to the expiry of contract period of the transporters.

All requirements of ICDS would be met as soon as possible after the transport contracts are renewed.

The pensions for the beneficiaries of National Old Age Pension Scheme would also be transferred directly into their accounts, the Minister noted.
