Sensitisation programme cum music concert held

A programme "Sensitisation of Students on Psycho-active Substance Use with Musical Concert" was held today at BOAT, Palace Compound.
The programme organised by Department of Social Welfare as a part of Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan was graced by Education Minister S Rajen; Social Welfare Minister Okram Henry and Director of Social Welfare, Ngangom Uttam as chief guest, president and guest of honour respectively.
At the event, O Henry said that student life is the most important part of human life because it is where people learn and acquire knowledge.
The Minister also urged all to stay away from drugs but contribute in making the State healthier.
After the inaugural session, a musical concert and a technical session were held.
At the technical session, HoD of Department of Psychiatry RIMS, Dr RK Lenin spoke on 'Handling of Peer Pressure' while HoD, Department of Psychology, MU Professor Dr MC Arun, Ngangom Uttam and Project Director of Kripa Foundation, Ksh Jibanmala deliberated on 'Your Dream of Yourself and the World'; 'Positive Thinking' and 'Role of Youths in Prevention of Drug Abuse' respectively.
