Imphal, January 20 2020: Illen Kamei, Head Warden of Standard Robarth Higher Secondary School, has been released on bail following the completion of statutory period as well as the failure of the 10 to submit the necessary charge sheet.

Today, the counsel of Illen Kamei filed an application before CJM Imphal West praying for her release on bail on health ground and as the 6 months statutory period of investigation had been completed.

The Court observed that Illen Kamei had been lodged in judicial custody from July 24 last year, for more than 180 days, in connection with the mysterious death of Ningthoujam Babysana.

It also observed that the 10 of the case had failed to submit any charge sheet till date.

As such, CJM Imphal West directed the Head Warden to be released upon execution of a PR bond of Rs 30,000 along with one surety.

The CJM also directed her to appear before the Court on January 30 .
