KWOHR reacts to statement of WJP

Ccpur, September 19 2018: Kuki Women Organization for Human Rights (KWOHR) has reacted to the WJP statement published on some local newspaper saying that the statement made by 'never heard of organization till yesterday in the realm of human rights organizations is a poor attempt at neutral concern for justice and peace, conspicuously bent on protecting perpetrators of a well-planned genocide' .

KWOHR said that by resorting to this kind of cheap arguments, they will load more and more shame on themselves while adding that digging deep on the issue, they will have to answer a lot of uncomfortable questions like, where were they when the Joupi incident happened.

Who gave the threats and intimidations? Who issued quit notices and forcefully collected taxes? KWOHR also asserted that it is nobody's business to advise Kukis on how to mourn their death, especially not from a shady WJP and added that the Kuki Genocide was a preplanned, well thought out perpetration of hatred and ethnic cleansing on the Kukis by the NSCN-IM/UNC to gain control over the Kuki ancestral land.

The atrocities committed on the innocent Kuki villagers by NSCN-IM/UNC led killers are unparalleled, which is proof of their long, underlying and deep hatred for the Kukis - the victims, it added.

KWOHR has also demanded the immediate trial of Th Muivah, RK Thekko and Francis Ngajokpa, who they claimed are the chief conspirators of the Kuki Genocide and added that it is characteristic of the NSCN-IM and UNC, which by the way are puppets of a few Tangkhuls at the top rungs of NSCN-IM, to masquerade like NLG and WJP in trying to deceive the world.

It will be no surprise if other bodies emerge tomorrow, it said.
