Imphal, September 19 2015 : Huidrom Dayananda, who secured the fourth position in the All India Agricultural Research Service (Scientist) exam conducted by Agricultural Scientist Recruitment Board, was felicitated on Saturday at the Heigun Yangbi community hall in Mayang Imphal.

Jointly organised by People's Pioneer Club, Heigun Yangbi and Heigun Yangbi Congress Committee, the function was also attended by Works Minister Dr Kh Ratankumar as the chief guest.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr Ratankumar said Dayananda of Mayang Imphal Heigun Yangbi is undoubtedly the young man par excellence, whose hard work despite being a person from poor economic background is really commendable.

The Works Minister urged him to work in the interest of the farmers to give them the best knowledge on cultivation for the overall development of the State.

Mayang Imphal Municipal Council chairperson Th Rajmohon Meitei and Mayang Imphal Ward No-6 Councillor Th Pratap were the president and guest of honour on the occasion.
