Imphal, November 18 2017: More than 20 colleges tookpart in the 31st Manipur University Inter-College Youth Festival 2017, which was flagged off today at the University's centenary hall today.

The inaugural function was attended by Health and Family Welfare Minister L Jayentakumar, MU Vice Chancellor Professor Adya Prasad Pandey, Manipur Industries Corporation Limited Chairman and MLA Y Radheshyam and Professor Kh Tombi attended the event as the presidium members.

Speaking at the event, Minister L Jayentakumar said that the festival is a platform for the youth to gain exposure and, showcase their talents as well as build their discipline.

Expressing desire for more students from the hill districts to participate in the festival, he said that the youth festival helped in building confidence among the youth.

More than 20 colleges from different parts of the State took part in the Inter College youth festival.

A souvenir was also released as a part of the festival.
