CCPur, August 18 2018: The Socio-economic Development Organisation (SEDO) today hosted an inauguration programme for Henglep Road -which the organisation have constructed with funds collected from the public.

The road, which is toed to considerably cut travel time to Henglep Sub-division was dug across the Thangjing hill range.

Now that the first alignment has been completed with public donations, the Government has granted 60 crores under PMGSY to continue the road construction while SEDO organised the ceremony as it felt the need to host a felicitation ceremony for their achievement.

Personal Assistant of Mary Kom, Ashong Kom; Paokholal Haokip MDC Henglep, representative of Henglep Area Chief Association, KWU, KSO Henglep, EPF Henglep and several other public figures attended the event.

SEDO secretary Lhunpu provided a status report on the progression of the road so far and the way ahead.
