DC Kamjong inaugurates OSC

Kamjong, November 16 2019: Deputy Commissioner, Kamjong district, Kengoo Zuringla inaugurated a One Stop Centre in Kamjong today.

The centre has been placed temporarily within the complex of Community Health Centre (CHC), Kamjong.

The Deputy Commissioner stated that the purpose of OSC is to provide shelter to women in distress, victims of violence, whether in a family, community or in public.

She further stated that women in distress can take shelter at the OSC up-to five days, wherein they would be given integrated help- legal, medical and psychological counselling, apart from free food and lodging.

Tabitha, District Programme Officer (DPO), Kamjong, HL Jain, Sub-Divisional Officer, Kamjong and other officials and public of Kamjong HQ took part in the inauguration programme.
