Legal Awareness Programmes held at Khangabok

A One Day Legal Awareness Programme was held today at Khangabok Part II Maisnam Leikai Mandop.
Development of Rural Education and Sporting Khangabok organised the programme under the aegis of Thoubal District Legal Services Authority.
Chief Judicial Magistrate, Thoubal A Noutuneshwarmi and Member, Khangabok Zilla Parishad Kh Kumari graced the occasion as Chief Guest and President respectively.
Pradhan of Khangabok Part II Gram Panchayat Kh Manitombi and Upa Pradhan Kh Dilip also attended as Guests of Honour.
During the programme, APP, CJM Thoubal S Maipak talked on the topic of "Women's Property Right" and Advocate Kh Arunjoy on "Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Child)" and "Rights of Senior Citizens" as resource persons.
More than 200 villagers of Khangabok participated in the awareness programme.
An interaction programme was also held as part of the programme.
Another similar one day legal awareness programme was conducted by 11-Zila Parishad, Naoriya Pakhang Lakpa Kendra under the aegis of Manipur State Legal Services Authority was held at Haobam Marak Lourembam Leikai Leirembi hall today.
The awareness programme was attended by RK Memcha, Chief Judicial Megistrate of Senapati district as Chief Guest with Kim Soute, Chief Judicial Magistrate of Chandel district; Thiyam Sumati, Zilla Parishad member, Naoriya Pakhanglakpa Kendra; Advocate Th Premlata and S Syamcharan, General Secretary, All Manipur Bar Association (AMBA) as Presidium members.
Speaking on the occasion as a resource person, S Syamcharan informed that the role of Meira Paibis in the state is highly appreciable.
But the Meira Paibis should take the help of legal experts and proceed in accordance to the law of the land while fighting against social evils.
