Cine Cafe opens at MFDC

As an extension of the Imphal Evening, a Cine Cafe was inaugurated today at MSFDS auditorium with the objective of providing movie lovers of the State to watch films along with their family under one roof and entertain them with a taste of the big screen every Saturday and Sunday.
Cine Cafe aims at giving a new form of recreation to the public at large with the main emphasis on the survival and restoration of Manipuri Cinema status.
The inauguration ceremony of the Cine Cafe was organised by the Manipur State Film Development Society in collaboration with Film Forum Manipur.
Commissioner (Art & Culture) M Lakshmikumar Singh; Director (Art & Culture) Ng Uttam Singh and Secretary, MSFDS, Dr H Nabachandra Singh as the chief guest, guest of honour and president respectively.
Assertingthat the opening of the Cine Cafe is a milestone in the history of Manipuri Cinema, Lakshmikumar said that it is indeed a big challenge for the society as a whole and not merely for film lovers to revive and restore Manipuri films.
He said that Imphal Evening has triggered a new venture for Manipuri cinema.
