Imphal, November 14 2013: Along with observing the Universal Children Day, the ICDS Week Celebration has begun from today under the aegis of Community Food and Nutrition Extension Unit at Kongpal Khaidem Leikai Mandop, Imphal East district.

The inaugural function of the celebration was attended by Y Joykumar Singh, Deputy Director of Horticulture and Soil Conservation, Govt of Manipur and L Ibempishak Devi, Secretary of Nupisingi Yaipha Samaj, Iranpham Thongkhong as Chief Guest and President respectively.

During the programme, a lecture cum demonstration on nutritious food items and mini exhibition on Health and Nutrition were conducted and around 50 participants comprising ICDS supervisors, anganwadi workers and helpers and few others were present on the occasion.
