Five more test Covid-19 positive

Imphal, September 14 2022:
The number of active Covid-19 positive cases in the state went up again on Wednesday as government bulletins reported five new cases and two recoveries.
The five new positive cases were reported from four districts out of 294 samples tested in the last 24 hours, thus, registering a positivity rate of 1.7 per cent.
The four fresh cases (2 males & 3 females) are residents of Imphal West (1), Imphal East (2), Churachandpur (1) and Senapati (1) districts.
Consequent to detection of the new cases the number of active cases in the state rose to 28 out of which 13 are in home isolation.
Wednesday had only two recoveries and no fatalities.
The toll from the pandemic stands at 2148 including seven CAPF personnel while the virus has far infected 1,39,773 individuals including 5,022 CAPF personnel.
There are 35 vacant beds available in JNIMS and 61 in RIMS.
In the last 24 hours, 100 D-type and 11 B-type oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health facilities and 2055 vaccine doses administered that took the cumulative num ber of vaccinated population to 16,38,235, out of which 13,15,329 had received the second dose and 2,55,768 taken the precautionary doses.
As per data maintained by The People's Chronicle based on IDSP and CCR reports, the total cases in different districts are Imphal West (49806), Imphal East (32027), Thoubal (10291), Churachandpur (11280), Kangpokpi (3184), Tamenglong (3496), Bishnupur (9977), Senapati (2547), Ukhrul (3365), Kakching (6973), Chandel (2794), Noney (1173), Tengnoupal (1210), Jiribam (1118), Kamjong (1053) and Pherzawl (477).Fatality counts in different districts are Imphal West (712), Imphal East (517), Thoubal (192), Churachandpur (169), Kangpokpi (70), Tamenglong (17), Bishnupur (206), Senapati (13), Ukhrul 52), Kakching (124), Chandel 43), Noney (5), Tengnoupal (16), Jiribam (7), Kamjong (5) and Pherzawl (0) .
