Cultural exchange programme held at Motbung

The First Cultural Exchange Programme organised jointly by North East Zone Cultural Centre (NEZCC), Dimapur, All Colleges Tribal Students Organisation, Manipur (ACTSOM), Department of Art and Culture, Govt of Manipur and hosted by Thadou Students Association, Sadar Hills was held at Jubilee Hall of Presidency College, Motbung today where Hill Area Committee (HAC) chairman Chaltolien Amo, chairman of Sadar Hills ADC Haokholal Hangshing and others attended the function, according to a press release issued by DIPR.
According to the press note, HAC chairman Chaltonlien Amo exhorted that students to be serious about discipline and stated that education is the most important thing for students.
He then said that though students should also take part in cultural and other social activities but they should give priority to education.
He also called upon the students to work hard in order to bring peace and harmony in the society.
The function was participated by different dance troupes from schools and colleges representing different communities, according to the DIPR press note.
