CM reviews externally aided projects

Imphal, November 11 2024:
Chief minister N Biren, on Monday, chaired a meeting at his office secretariat to review progress of Externally Aided Projects in the state, In a post on X, the CM emphasised that these projects are vital for improving infrastructure, healthcare, education, and environmental sustainability.
The meeting was attended by works minister Govindas Konthoujam and several senior government officials.
The CM highlighted that engaging with international agencies and benefactors would bring substantial long-term benefits to the people of the state.
Earlier, CM Biren had disclosed that the state was undertaking several externally aided projects worth Rs 5000 crore, which include significant water supply schemes and road development initiatives.
Additionally, there are projects worth Rs 9000 crore, such as the rejuvenation of Lamphelpat Waterbody, the Loktak Lake Eco-tourism Project, and the construction of the Imphal Ring Road, aimed at bolstering the state's environmental and infrastructural landscape, he said.
