AR seizes smuggled medicines near Indo-Myanmar border

Imphal, September 10 2020:
A column of troops of Moreh Battalion under the command of the HQ IGAR(S) recovered smuggled medicines worth approximately Rs 2.80 lakh from the vicinity of Haolenphai village near Moreh, today.
A press release issued by IGAR (S) stated that around 3 am in the vicinity of Haolenphai village near Moreh, some suspicious movement along the border was detected and on being challenged, the unknown miscreants fled towards Myanmar.
On thorough checking of thre area, a stockpile of smuggled medicines were recovered.
The items were seized and handed over to Customs Office, Moreh for further legal action.
