Imphal, August 10 2020: Manipuri Literary and Cultural Forum, Assam today submitted a memorandum to the President, Prime Minister, Chief Minister and Education Minister demanding inclusion of Manipuri language as an associate official language of Assam.

The memorandum was submitted through the Circle Officer at Lanka, Hojai.

Their other demands include, not to drop Manipuri language teachers during school provincialisation, fill up vacant post of Manipuri language teachers and teachers who are going to retire as dropped post be awarded a sum of Rs 20 lakhs.
