Imphal, April 09 2019: For the first time in the region, CRY (Child Rights & You) has launched media internship in the State, said a press release issued by convenor of Manipur Alliance for Child Rights.

The main objectives of the initiative are to orient young talented students about journalistic writing skills, media ethics and to enable them to express their views on crucial issues related to children in Manipur.

In the first batch of the four week long internship, six students nominated by "Indira Gandhi National Tribal University" (IGNTU) manipur campus and "College of social work" Imphal West are being oriented by three media houses namely, The Imphal Free Press, The Sangai Express and The People's Chronicle, added the statement.

A part of the internship, media trips and field visits will be organised by MACR to Child Rights Area undertaken by CRY in different districts of the State.
