Kanglatongbi bodies criticise MLA Dingo

Imphal, September 08 2021: Asserting that Sekmai MLA H Dingo has been biased in taking up development works in his constituency and he has never taken up any initiatives for development in Kanglatongbi area, local clubs and organisations such as Kanglatongbi United Youth Club, Mantriband Development Committee, Kanglatongbi Mantriband Meira Paibi Lup, Kanglatongbi Bazar Board have declared they would be'compelled to take a hard stand, against the MLA in Kanglatongbi in Case he continues to ignore their plight.

This was announced on Wednesday to media persons on the sidelines of an inspection visit during which the media team were taken to sites dominated by deplorable condition of roads and bridges in the area, which have been left unattended for long.

They also showed the condition of 3 km long Kanglatongbi Mantriband road, whose renovation project approved by the government was diverted to some other location.

The road stretches near Olivia Higher Secondary School and Liangmei Baptist Centre Church are the worst affected area of the road, which is filled with potholes.

Kanglatongbi GP former ward member Th Muhindro said that the local MLA Dingo made claim that he is taking up development works without any discrimination across the constituency but one can easily know his real face by seeing the condition of road in Kanglatongbi ward no 6.The road project, which was approved and sanctioned by the government, was shifted to some other location by the MLA.

It is unfortunate that the MLA is taking credit for construction of Kanglatongbi Ima market when in reality, the project was taken up by the government after the Kanglatongbi Bazar Board approached the chief minister, he said.

Kanglatongbi Mantriband Meira Paibi Lup secretary W Sanahanbi said that the MLA had never set his foot in Kanglatongbi area after he won the last assembly election.
