District Level Essay Writing Competition held

Imphal, May 08 2022: Under the aegis of Manipuri Students' Federation (MSF), Head Office, MSF Imphal West, Bishnupur and Thoubal district committees organised the 1st District Lev el Essay Writing Competition in the respective districts, as part of the Federation's "A Drug Use Prevention Campaign" which commenced from October 13, 2Q20.In a release, MSF Head Office assistant publicity secretary Mutum Nongdamba Meitei said that the competition is being organised as part of MSF's "Eikhoi Mayai Kaba Drug Thadoklasi campaign, which is meant to help deter youth from the influence of drugs.

The competition was held on the topic of Impact of Drug on the life of Youths" (Nahashingi Punsi da Drug na Piba Cheitheng).

Altogether, 555 students from Thoubal College, 307 from Imphal College (Imphal West), and 140 from Mangolnganbi College (Bishnupur district) participated in the competition, with strict adherence to Covid-19 pro tocols.

Nongdamba also informed that result of the competition would be announced on MSF's Facebook page "Manipuri Students Federation - MSF" and through the media, while the prizes for the top three winners along with 10 consolations prizes will be distributed on a later date.

A seminar programme would also be organised on the occasion, wherein different resource persons will share their opinions on varied topics including effects of drugs on youth, the necessary preventive measures, to be taken and others.

Thus, he urged the student community and the people to attend the programme.
