1st Annual NE Choral Singing Competition

New Delhi, November 06 2012: Delhi will witness the 1st Annual North East Choral Singing Competition on November 11 at Thyagaraj Stadium, New Delhi.

The event is organised by the Tangkhul Christian Charitable Trust (TCCT) based in Delhi.

Chief Minister of Delhi Sheila Dixit will grace the occasion as the chief guest and Rishang Keishing, Member of Parliament will be the guest of honour.

The competition will be a one day event with 13 choirs (having minimum 40 members) participating from various communities of the North East India based in and around Delhi.

The song for the competition is the hymn "God is Love".

The event will confine not only the choir competition but also include displaying of individual singing and musical talents shows.

Winner of the competition will receive Rs.3 lakhs as cash prize; second place will get Rs.2 lakhs, and third place Rs.1 lakh.

Consolation prizes will also be given to all the participating teams.
