IGNTU students welfare up in arms

The Indira Gandhi Tribal University Students' Welfare in a press release expressed "shock and unhappiness over the deprivation of tribal rights in the varsity" .
Stating that the prevailing system is not acceptable to the tribal student community, the release went on to say that the University Authority violates the legitimate rights of the tribal community and is in total contravention of tribal interest.
The students of the university has launched an agitation from September 3 demanding among other things, immediate shifting of temporary campus to Makhan, removal of incumbent VC, immediate declaration of the recent recruitment of Teaching Faculty Members of the University null and void, providing adequate faculties, infrastructure, separate reservation policy for tribals, appointment of a Regional Director from amongst the tribal community and nomination of Member of IGNTU -RC-Impha from the tribal community to the Executive Council.
The students body will intensify its agitation in the form boycotting class, of pulling out the students en mass etc if their demands are not met.
