3 Assam Rifles of 28 Sector under the aegis of HQ IGAR (South) distributed 02 TVs alongwith DTH Dish in Tuitong and Moljol villages to improve the quality of life of people of Samtal Salient and help them connect better to the rest of the country.
The distribution of these entertainment items would help the tribal people in this underdeveloped areas to connect to the modern ways of life and appreciate the value of peace and development.
The same unit provided medical facilities in Samtal Salient in the form of a hearing aid which was provided to 108 years old Solet Haokip of Changjal village, a pre-independence soldier of Indian National Army led by Netaji Subhesh Chandra Bose.
It is yet another step amongst various welfare measures undertaken to alleviate the problems of the people of the remote areas and commitment to the welfare of such patriots.
