Imphal, October 04 2013 : Demanding transfer of the incumbent Principal of Lilong Haoreibi College, six Muslim bodies, namely All Manipur Muslim Students' Organization ( AMMSO), Muslim Students Union of Manipur ( MSUM), All Manipur Muslim Girls Students Union, Hangamthabi Youth Club, United Welfare Organization Lillong Usoipokpi and Chikham Maya Development Organization forced closure of the college indefinitely from today.

Talking to media in this connection, Md.Farud Khan, President of AMMSO said that the last Principal of the collage was suspended after levelled various false allegation against him in first week of February last.

In his place, Md.Noor Amin, Associate Professor of the college was appointed as the principal.

However, soon after assuming the charge, Noor has cancelled all development works which were started by the suspended principal.

Now, UGC has black listed construction of indoor hall of the college at an estimated cost of Rs.45 lakhs following wrong information and claim that 75 per cent of construction works have been completed.

Moreover, Noor also misused the fund collected from admission of 1657 student, which comes to about Rs.57 lakhs, Md Farud Khan alleged.
